Concerned with the lack of nutritional value in many college students' food selection, I decided to emphasize the benefits of eating fruit as a way to improve eating habits. By reducing the "nutritional facts" to phrases and specific advantages and applying the stickers to the surface of the actual fruit, I created a vehicle for the message to directly affect the choices made by people at the time of food selection.

Rather than attempt to explain daily percentages of vitamins and minerals that fruit has to offer, it was more important to have youthful, mildly sarcastic language simplifying the reasons, while making them more relatable to college students.
